I warned you that I'd be posting pictures. So beware, cause here goes. Here is Hannah's new baby bed. I got it for $50. I think it's well worth it. I'm NOT going to give it away:

Weekend At MeMe's

This weekend I got to keep Hannah along with Billy and Shelly overnight. I was thrilled! She is such a good baby. I started looking for the baby swing and couldn't find it. I looked in the attic, in the basement, in the garage. No swing. So I figured I must have let my sister use it for her grandbaby. Nope. So I guess I gave it away. I ordered another one yesterday. And guess what my son said about it. This time don't give the stuff away, just hang on to it. AGAIN?!? I guess the present I gave him for Christmas got lost. (Private joke) I would dearly love to have more grandbabies. I'm going to have to buy a greyhound bus to haul them all in. I just don't want to get too old to keep them. Hannah is a perfect child, just like her brother and sister and cousins, Rebecca and Nicholas. All of my "babies" are perfect. We went to Walmart to get formula, and met Sandy, Robert, Mary, Bucky, Lillian, her mom and dad (granny and gramps), Justin, and Ryan. Sandy got her hands on Hannah first. Then Bucky. As soon as Mary saw Bucky with her, she came running up with her arms held out to hold her. It was so sweet. These people are my best friends in the whole world.

I have called Comcast. My phone and internet go down every night around 9pm. Then it may come back up around midnight. I'm over it. They said they can't come out to fix it until Wednesday morning. GRRRRRRR!!! I'm going to tell them to take their phone/internet modem back and put me in a regular modem. It's been nothing but trouble since I got the phone. Then I'll call Vonage and have them put in their phone modem. Vonage is 24.99/mo and Comcast is 33.00/mo. So I'd actually be saving money. I don't know anybody who has Vonage, so if you do, please let me know how reliable it is. I don't want to jump from the frying pan into the fire.

I go back to work full time on Thursday. And I'll be making RN pay! I'm so excited! As long as I'm "orienting" I don't have to take a full load of patients. And also my pay doesn't come out of the floor's budget. It comes out of human resource's budget. I told them I'm going to milk it for all I can get.

I was going to post some pictures. But that's another thing about my internet right now. It's slower than the turtle, Bill Slowsky. If you've seen Comcast commercials lately, you know who he is. So I guess I'll post pictures next time. So get ready!

Rambling (again)

Tomorrow is the last night of my refresher course. Not that I've studied. I think it's a waste of money. They make it sound so simple, and they teach so many different strategies for different kinds of questions, it would take 20 minutes on one question to figure out which one to use. At least if I pass my test the first time, I get reimbursed by the hospital. If I don't, I get reimbursed by the company giving the class. So either way, I get my money back. I have scheduled my test. It may be soon, it may be 6 months from now. You'll kow when I post it. 2 of the people from my nursing class were in this class. It was good to see familiar faces. I go back to work full time on June 4. I worked this weekend as a graduate nurse. Also had my first dealing with death as an RN. Doing all the paperwork and listening for a heartbeat so the patient could be pronounced. Of course, I can't legally do that yet, but I did listen and had the RN to listen and pronounce her. But soon I'll be doing that. Too soon. I like to see people get better and go home. Oh well, it's about bedtime. I'll post more later.

Still Studying

I'm so tired of studying. I thought I was through with most of that. Now I'm taking a prep course for state boards, and it has just as much reading and studying as school had. Then I have to take a critical care class starting June 4 for work. I guess I'll just be a professional student. Ah, the advantages of lifelong learning!

I have to go back to work tonight. I've been off for 4 weeks. In a way I'm looking forward to it but then in a way I don't want to go back. It's been so long since I spent time with the people I work with. I miss them. What I really dread is when I go back full time and have to work day shift. Thank God that's not a permanent thing! I wouldn't work day shift for it. Anyway, I make more money working night shift.

Doug posted a really cute blog of Shelly. He put a video on there of her rolling her eyes up and batting them. It's so cute! He's Tacobelldoug if you want to watch it. I still need to get a baby bed. Maybe I'm being too picky, but I want one that's in really good shape. I don't want one that has to be painted or has stickers and stuff on it. I had that for my kids but I know better now.

Oh well, it's now time to go to bed for my nap so I can get up and work all night tonight. So have a wonderful day!

Just Rambling

Okay, I didn't like the picture they made at school. So I went to Walmart and had it done again. Alot cheaper and alot more pictures! Got a 10X13, 2-8X10's, 4-4X6, 22-wallets and 4 little ones. All for $6.88+tax. So if you want a good deal, go to Walmart. I get to keep Billy and Shelly this weekend. Rebecca and Nicholas can't come up. Rebecca's having a sleepover tonight and tomorrow they're going to Dollywood. And Sunday's Mother's Day and Bambi wants them at home. I don't know if we'll be keeping Billy and Shelly 1 night or 2. Probably one because they'll probably want their kids home for Mother's Day too. I can't wait til I get to start keeping Hannah. I need to get a baby bed first. We will be going to a bar-b-que Sunday at 4:00 in Jefferson City. Some of my classmates are getting together and doing it. It will be good to see them outside of class. My house was so dirty!! I started cleaning on it yesterday and didn't get through til just now and it's 10:20pm. But I'm happy to say it's clean from one end to the other. I even changed sheets on all the beds. 2-twin, 1-full, and 1-king. My back is killing me. So will somebody please come see me besides my grandchildren? Seems like every time someone comes around, the house is dirty. Anyway, here's the picture I had done at Walmart:

It's Finally Over!!!

Last night was my pinning ceremony and this morning was my graduation. I took my camera but no one got good pictures. I wish I had some good pictures to post, but I have none of me on stage, and just a few of me with other people. But never fear! I'll post them!

This is me and my sister after it was all said and done last night:

I had 13 people at my pinning. Doug was there, my son Doug, my dear mom, my sister Gerry, my step brother Gary, his wife Reba,my mother-in-law Elizabeth, my neice Kelli, my dear, dear friends Mary, Bucky, Lillian, Monroe, Justin, Tori, and Ryan. We were all going to meet somewhere to eat and Doug couldn't make up his mind about what the restaurant was called, and we got separated from Mary and Bucky and them. Lucky them. We ate at a restaurant called Puelos, and they bring you too much food and the prices are too high. The thing I really enjoyed was the fried asparagus. It was yummy. The rest was so so. I got in bed finally around 1:00 and had to get back up at 6:00 to go back to Morristown. We should have just spent the night. That was originally the plan, but we both had people we had to take home. But that's okay. To all the people who gave me gifts, I told you not to get me anything! But thank you anyway. I love each and every one. Even Tracy, who didn't get to come, sent me a gift card. I love you all. Doug and I went to the graduation alone. Just me and him. Can you believe it? My mom got me a beautiful throw with my name and stuff on it. Here it is:

And what blog of mine would be complete without grandbabies!?! My son made this picture of Billy, Shelly, and Hannah. I think it's adorable!

I don't have any pictures of Rebecca and Nicholas. But my daughter did call today and tell me that Rebecca's cheerleading team won 2nd place in state, now they're going to nationals. That means a trip to Wisconsin. That should be fun. Okay, I'll quit now. No more pictures. Have a wonderful day.
